A Washington DC Must See . . . Hillwood House

Last Saturday the weather was perfect in DC, and it was the perfect day to visit one of DC's hidden gems.  Hillwood Estate is just off Connecticut Ave on Tilden Street towards Rock Creek Parkway.  While walking through the mansion, we kept asking ourselves, "Why hadn't we done this until now?"  We couldn't take pictures inside the mansion, but here are some of the gardens:
Spring flowers were everywhere in all their glory.  Doesn't Henry look like he's having so much fun?  These are some of the few flowers Hen didn't try to eat.

That's a putting green behind Henry, his drives are amazing but he needs to work on putting.

This lion supposedly came from Somerset House, the audio tour described it as friendly yet regal.

This is literally right around the corner from our place and we walk by it all the time but have yet to go through it. We keep saying we need to and now you've convinced us! It looks beautiful. Glad you got to enjoy the weather!
