Alicia was nice enough to let me join my buddies in Dallas for the big game (BYU vs. Oklahoma for those of you living under rocks). The inaugural "man trip" was a tremendous success. I was nicknamed "longweekend Derr" for getting in Saturday afternoon right before the game and leaving early the next morning.
We couldn't believe the Cougars pulled it off, there was so much excitement in the stadium and a lot of silent Sooners. It was just like old times, a lot of jumping up and down and crashing into each other after big plays, except for this time we actually had women to call (our wives of course) after the game.
It was a great trip and many thanks to Reza and the other guys who made it happen.
