To help some of my students stay motivated while I was on maternity leave, I assigned them duets. Then on June 7th we had a little duet recital party. There is a great collection of duets by Diabelli titled Melodious Exercises. Most of the primo parts stay within a 5-finger position, with a more difficult secondo part. Some of the parents agreed to play with the children and they did a fabulous job! I was so proud of everyone after only 2 lessons before the recital. Our hosts provided ice cream sundaes afterward.
