We love Kalorama

The first weekend of June every year, all the museums in our neighborhood are free. We decided to visit the Textile Museum and the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Museum. They had a great exhibit on blue fabrics at the Textile museum. Woodrow Wilson's old house was beautiful and we loved seeing all the presidential gifts he received from other countries.

This is the backyard to Woodrow Wilson's house. We often walk down the street behind this row of houses, wondering what these amazing backyards look like. It was beautiful.

His study/library was so cool. We dream of having a ladder to bookshelves in our future home some day. For now, I love my two Ikea Billy bookcases.

The kind docent let me play the 9' Steinway D in the room where Pres. Wilson's funeral was held. It was really fun until he asked me to accompany him singing "Oh You Beautiful Doll." He had quite the voice!
